Innovative cooling and storm water management systems drive Prineville’s sustainable design approach. The data hall’s high cooling demands are met by an advanced high efficiency evaporative cooling system that responds directly to server demands. Rainwater collected across the building’s large roof surface is stored and recycled to serve toilets and irrigate landscaping.
The center’s 1.07 power usage effectiveness (PUE) approaches an ideal PUE of 1.0.

The building’s architecture sensitively responds to Prineville’s high desert environment. The building is wrapped in unadorned precast wall panels that complement the arid natural environment. Free-standing panels define an outdoor courtyard that welcomes staff and visitors. Glassy office and lounge areas offer expansive views of the landscape.
